This Saturday, on April 26, wastepaper will be collected by a public organization “Help another one”. The campaign “Save a tree” is aimed at attraction of attention of citizens of the Republic to the problems of ecology and recycling of raw materials.

An ecological and educational event was held at the rehabilitation center “Zdravushka” for disabled children and teenagers. A holiday for children was held in the framework of All-Russian Days of protection from ecological danger held annually from April 15 to June 5. The event is organized by the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan. The Principal Adviser of the Ministry, Elena Gilmizyanova, held entertaining contests and quizzes for children. The event was finalized by joint planting of grape seedlings.

The meeting of the Interdepartmental Commission for Ecological Safety, Environmental Management and Sanitary and Epidemiological Well-being in the Republic of Tatarstan was held today at the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan. The Minister for Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, Artem Sidorov, made a report on intermediate results of a two-month sanitary and ecological campaign for cleaning of territories. In particular, he acknowledged that Republican supervisory authorities revealed 2,252 violations, and following the results of the revealed violations 1,663 protocols were drawn up, including 48 protocols against legal persons, 425 against officials, and 1,190 against individuals; 29 case materials were referred to the Prosecutor’s office, and more than 8 million rubles worth of fines were imposed. Artem Sidorov informed that on April 26 Saturday work campaign will be held in every municipal formation. A task set before supervisory authorities is to enhance the work on revelation and suppression of violations within their competence; to carry out examination of the state of the easement area of the railway station and the adjacent territories on April 25; to examine water protection areas of water facilities; to start examination of territories of horticultural societies.

On April 26, the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan together with proponents of public ecological associations, institutes and citizens of Kazan organizes a series of Saturday work campaigns and planting of seedlings in the framework of the Republican campaign “Day of forest planting” and the city-wide Saturday work campaign.

Evacuation of the Ministry personnel was drilled today at the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan under guidance of the Deputy Head of the Supervisory Activity Department under the Central Administration of the Ministry for Emergency Situations of the Republic of Tatarstan, Irek Shariyazdanov. A fire hazard was simulated on the corridor of the first floor in the building of the Ministry. Evacuation took 4 minutes and 53 seconds. Aims and tasks of the drill were achieved. In general, Irek Shariyazdanov favorably assessed the degree of training of fellow workers of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan with regard to taking measures in case of fire or any other emergency situation.

The auctions regarding granting of the right to use the deposit “Tumutukskoe-1” in Aznakaevo municipal district of the Republic of Tatarstan were held at the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan to allow exploration and extraction of sand-and-gravel material: the right to use a mining allotment “Berket-kluch” in Cheremshan municipal district of the Republic of Tatarstan of the Republic of Tatarstan for the purposes of geological survey, exploration and extraction of limestone; the right to use a mining allotment “Vostochno-Urazaevsky” in Aktanysh municipal district of the Republic of Tatarstan for the purposes of geological survey, exploration and extraction of brick clay, as well as the right to use a mining allotment “Pestrechinsky” in Pestretsy municipal district of the Republic of Tatarstan for the purposes of geological survey, exploration and extraction of bog muck. On April 22, 2014 the sixth anniversary March of Kindness in the Republic of Tatarstan was held in the center of Kazan. This year the March was organized by the Center of development of voluntary work in the Republic of Tatarstan with the assistance of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Ministry for Youth Affairs, Sports and Tourism of the Republic of Tatarstan, Public Youth Chamber under the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Department of the Federal Service for Narcotics Control of the Russian Federation for Tatarstan.

Inspectors of the Cis-Kama Territorial Department under the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan took the measures regarding revelation of the fact of illegal recovery of common mineral resources on the river Kama. As of April 14, illegal recovery of sand-and gravel material from the bottom was carried out at the site of Sidorovskoe deposit located on the right side of the navigable channel of the river Kama within the range of 1,640.4-1,644 km. Recovery works were carried out by the crane boat PK-19 with further loading on to the barge of the vessel с RT-361 and “Oksky 32” with further transportation to Naberezhnye Chelny to the site owned by the Limited Liability Company “Transline”. The volume of recovered common mineral resources amounted to 2,654 tons.

The events that coincide with the World Earth Day were held today in the Republic of Tatarstan. The Ministry organized meetings with the representatives of public and educational establishments. On the initiative of the Ministry and with the assistance of Kazan Zoological and Botanic Garden, a practical nature protection campaign on creation of an ecological path was held on the territory of school No. 78 of Kazan. This school wasn’t chosen randomly, since at this school both healthy and disabled children study. Today, fellow workers of the Ministry and Kazan Zoological and Botanic Garden held a master class for senior pupils – the class regarded planting and caring for plants. Manchurian walnut and Amur maple became the pioneers of the ecological path along with lilac, spiraea, arrow-wood and mountain ash.

A report on plague of fish in the water facility on Karbysheva street in Kazan was received today by the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan. As it turned out, this pond isn’t a natural water facility, it is a hydrotechnical facility that is also a part of the garden square – a place of mass recreation of citizens. At the site, inspectors of the Central Territorial Department found dead fish and littered territory of the water facility. To discern the causes of fish plague, the Central specialized inspection of analytical control under the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan drew water samples. A mobile laboratory of the Central specialized inspection of analytical control allowed to carry out urgent analysis with regard to oxygen level. The results showed that oxygen level is within the normal limits. More detailed analysis results will be known within 7-10 days.
