30 April 2014, Wednesday
Experts of the Department for Environmental Protection under the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan inspected the work of the closed-loop system (installed at the filling station of “Tatneft – AZC Center” OOO on Amirkhana street 21a in Kazan) for discharge of oil products with collection of motor fuel vapors from reservoirs and fuel-dispensing units into road-tankers for the purpose of further removal of vapors and their recuperation at petroleum depots. At the moment of fuel discharge, fellow workers of the Central specialized inspection for analytical control under the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan drew air samples on the territory of the filling station and on the boundary of a sanitary and protection zone of the filling station near residential buildings. By the end of 2014, it is planned to equip all filling stations of the company “Tatneft – AZC Center” OOO on the territory of the Republic of Tatarstan with the systems of recuperation.
This work is conducted in the framework of the field program – equipment of filling stations of the Republic with the systems of recovery and recuperation of gasoline vapors. Equipment of filling stations with such systems will allow to considerably reduce emissions of pollutants into the air and to enhance the ecological situation in the Republic in general. Solution of this issue is especially relevant for large cities of the Republic with high building density and considerable concentration of motor transport. By 2020, it is planned to equip more than 500 filling stations of cities and settlements of the Republic with recuperation systems. During the first stage – by 2015, about 260 filling stations in four large cities of the Republic, namely Kazan, Naberezhnye Chelny, Almetyevsk and Nizhnekamsk will be equipped correspondingly.
