Drills of actions in the event of fire hazard or other emergency situations were held on September 26th at the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstaninvolving personnel of the Ministry. Preventative measures were held at every local department of the Ministry of Ecology in the framework of a held one-month campaign “No to extremism!”.

The “round table” meeting regarding waste management in Russia was held at the Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology of Russia. Delegation of the Ministry for Nature Protection of the People’s Republic of China, Delegation of the UNIDO (specialized establishment of the UN), Delegation of the UNIDO International Center for Industrial Cooperationin Russia, as well as representatives of executive authorities participated in the event.

The 3rd International Specialized Exposition of ecologically friendly, natural and organic products “EcoCityExpo Autumn 2014” will be held on November 21 – 23, 2014in Moscow.Within three days eco-products of Russian and foreign manufacturers will be presented in four sections:
- “EcoFood”–ecological products and drinks, healthy food, farming products;
- “EcoBeauty”–organic and natural products in the industry of beauty, makeup and fashion;

The meeting of the Anti-corruption Commission will be held on September 29th at the Ministry of Ecology. All in all, there are 6 issues on the agenda, in particular, review of“Anti-corruption monitoring for the first half-year 2014”, review of the results of a sociological study“Study of the opinion of the population of the Republic of Tatarstan on corruption” elaborated by the Committee for social and economic monitoring of the Republic of Tatarstan.

An extended meeting regarding training of experts in the geological field was held at the Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology of Russia.During the meeting it was acknowledged that at present training of specialists with higher geological education reaches 2-2.5 thousands of people per year. Meanwhile, demand for qualified specialists remains, and primarily the field needs specialists who know the new methods and technologies for studying of geological structure of mineral resources, prospecting and exploration of mineral resources.

Today, the Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, Artem Sidorov, met with participants of the bike ride devoted to the World campaign “Day without an automobile”.Proponents of the territorial regional department of the partyof the All-Russian Public Organization “Young Guard of United Russia” of the Volga District of Kazan decided not to use company or personal vehicles on that day and rode bicycles instead. Today, all fellow workers of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstanparticipated in the World campaign “Day without automobile”. The parking lot adjacent to the Ministry is closed, and fellow workers were using public transportation, a crew bus and bicycles. The Minister for Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, Artem Sidorov, also used public transportation today. He took trolleybus No. 8 to get from the traditional meeting that was held at the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan to his workplace.

Fellow workers of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan participated in the mass races near the stadium “Kazan-Arena” organized in the framework of the “Cross of nations 2014”. The event coincided with the All-Russian Day of Running. All in all, more than 24 thousands of sport amateurs participated in races.

September 22 – the World Day Without Automobile

The campaign “Collect used batteries — save the planet” was held at the municipal budgetary secondary educational establishment “Vocational school No. 27 with lessons in Tatar” in 48 Esperanto str. of Vakhitovsky district of Kazan. The event was organized with the support of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan. Pupils of the 4th form collected more than 2,000 pieces of used batteries. The pupils were told about the necessity of collection, correct recovery and processing of such wastes.
