On February 19, in the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan pursuant to the Orders as of 15.01.2013 No. 28-п “On holding of an auction for the right to use subsurface mineral resources of the site “Gorodishchensky” in the Drozhzhanovsky municipal region of the Republic of Tatarstan”, as of 15.01.2013 No. 29-п “On holding of an auction for the right to use subsurface mineral resources of the site “Yamashsky” in the Almetyevsk municipal region of the Republic of Tatarstan”, of 16.01.2013 No. 30-п “On holding of an auction for the right to use the western site of the Dym-Tamak deposit in the Yutazinsky municipal region of the Republic of Tatarstan”, of 17.01.2013 No. 33-п “On holding of an auction for the right to use subsurface mineral resources of the site “Sredne-Sabinsky” in the Sabinsky municipal region of the Republic of Tatarstan”, the meeting of the Auction Commission tool place. In the course of the meeting sealed envelopes were slit open for the purpose of the record of applications for participation in the auction for the right to use subsurface mineral resources of the following sites:

The State Report “On the environment state and environmental protection of the Russian Federation in 2011” is published on the official site of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection of the Russian Federation. It was made taking into account the ecological indexes unified with the data used in the European Union countries and describing the interaction of economic, environmental, and social systems.

The campaign devoted to the Day of Action for Rivers, Water, and Life took place in the gymnasia of Aznakaevo. The event was held under the slogan “For Rivers, Water and Life!” Pupils of the 1st to 5th forms could show their abilities as ecologists-beginners.

Research and Practice Seminar “Inauguration of the Year of Environment-oriented Culture and Nature Protection in the Republic of Tatarstan and the Year of Love for the Motherland in the Municipal District” was held in Chistopol at Secondary School No 3. It was organized by the local department of the All-Russian Public Organization “Russian Geographical Society”. Fellow workers of the Volga-Kama Territorial Department took active part in the seminar along with municipal and district administrators, associate professors of the department of geography of Kazan Federal University, heads of district companies and services and pupils of secondary schools.

The website of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan was rated the second in the nomination “The best website of the executive authority of the Republic of Tatarstan”, trailing only a couple of points to an official website of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Tatarstan. This is the second year that Eco.tаtarstan.ru becomes one of the leaders with regard to traffic, content quality and novelty of data submission among official republican websites. As a reminder, following the results of 2011, the website of the Ministry was named the best website of executive authorities of the Republic of Tatarstan.

The meeting of the Heads of the Ministries and the departments of the subjects of the Volga Federal District with Sergey Donskoy, the Minister for Ecology and Natural Resources of the Russian Federation, took place in IT-park.
In the framework of a field visit, the Minister for Ecology and Natural Resources of the Russian Federation Sergey Donskoy visited the exhibition organized by the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan in IT-park.The largest companies of Tatarstan demonstrated their main pilot projects in the field of nature protection activities. For example, the company TATNEFT presented its projects with regard to waste management, single sanitary and protection area of Nizhnekamsk industrial hub, the system of operational environmental monitoring and innovation technologies in the field of water resources protection. Such companies as “TAIF-NK”, “Kazanorgsintez”, “TANEKO”, and “Nizhnekamskneftekhim” reported on nature protection activities.

Today, the session of the Board of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan “On the results of work of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan in 2012 and tasks for 2013” took place in the Cabinet of the Republic of Tatarstan.
Sergey Donskoy, the Minister for Natural Resources and Environmental Protection of the Russian Federation, Rustam Minnikhanov, the president of the Republic of Tatarstan, Marina Seliverstova, the Head of the Federal Agency for Water Resources, Vera Soldatova, the Prosecutor of the Volga Interregional Nature Protection Prosecutor's Office, Alexey Sukhov, the Deputy Authorized Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Volga Federal District as well as heads of the ministries and departments of the subjects of the Volga Federal District took part in the Board session.

The program “One Million Trees” was realized in the Orenburg region. Within the framework of this project, more than 2.45 million of seedlings and saplings of a pine, a birch, a Lombardy poplar, a black poplar, an ash tree, a fir-tree, a willow, a linden and other wood and shrub species were planted out in all administrative areas of the region within 2011 and the spring of 2012.
On Sunday, February 10, the open All-Russian mass ski run “Ski Trail of Russia — 2013” was held. The Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan also participated in the mass run. More than 50 fellow workers of the Ministry were skiing together with the members of their families.
