Familiarization of the Minister for Ecology and Natural Resources of the Russian Federation Sergey Donskoy with nature protection activities

In the framework of a field visit, the Minister for Ecology and Natural Resources of the Russian Federation Sergey Donskoy visited the exhibition organized by the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan in IT-park.The largest companies of Tatarstan demonstrated their main pilot projects in the field of nature protection activities. For example, the company TATNEFT presented its projects with regard to waste management, single sanitary and protection area of Nizhnekamsk industrial hub, the system of operational environmental monitoring and innovation technologies in the field of water resources protection. Such companies as “TAIF-NK”, “Kazanorgsintez”, “TANEKO”, and “Nizhnekamskneftekhim” reported on nature protection activities.
The guests were also told about new developments in the field of implementation of information technologies and environment-oriented education. Pupils of secondary school No. 70 of Kazan shared their research experience in the field of nature protection. Experts of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan presented Sergey Donskoy with the Geographic Information System “Environmental map of the Republic of Tatarstan”, as well as new changes regarding implementation of the Geographic Information System “People’s control” that provides for effective management of unauthorized waste deposits and other violations of nature protection legislation in Tatarstan.
After the exhibition, Sergey Donskoy visited the Universiade village. There he learnt about the process of preparation for the World Summer Universiade in the framework of the Year of Environment-oriented Culture and Nature Protection in the Republic of Tatarstan. The Minister familiarized with living conditions of students. Moreover, he inspected mobile and stationary posts for environment monitoring. On the territory of the village, the guests were familiarized with work of new special-purpose equipment for collection and removal of solid domestic waste.
Accompanied by the Minister for Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan Artem Sidorov and the Minister of Forestry Nail Magdeev, Sergey Donskoy also visited Saba Municipal District where he inspected facilities of the largest in Europe forest and seed-production complex.

According to good tradition, the Ministry of Ecology hosted a New Year's tree for the children of the department's employees.
Inspectors of the Central Department, together with representatives of the Kazan Interdistrict Environmental Prosecutor's Office and the Office of the Federal Service for State Registration, Cadastre and Cartography of the Republic of Tatarstan, conducted a survey of the territory of the Zelenodolsk district.
The events were held in the Zainsky district. The commission included inspectors from the Zakamsky Department of the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan.
The Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan received an appeal from residents about violations of environmental legislation in the Yelabuga district. Inspectors from the Kama Department went to the site and confirmed the fact of dumping production and consumption waste into the territory of the Bug River water protection zone.
