The applications for the annual Republican contest “Man and nature” are accepted until November 15th. The event is held by the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan in order to promote the work of the Republican mass media, and improve professional skills in journalists covering ecological topics. Individual journalists and groups, creative associations of the Republican, district, municipal, electronic, printed, TV- and radio- mass media,  as well as mass media of companies, establishments, and organizations can participate in the event.

Innovation technologies of ecological monitoring, as well as social and ecological development of the country — these key topics were the most burning issues today in Nizhnekamsk at the All-Russian Research-to-Practice Conference “Ecological and innovation aspects for the development of the Russian society”. Guests from various corners of Russia and other countries, representatives of Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kazan, Bryansk, Cheboksary, Simferopol, Vladikavkaz, Novosibirsk, Yekaterinburg, Irkutsk, and Prague visited the event.  The reports on the following topics were presented during the plenary meeting:

The ceremony of launching of business standard gas “Euro-5” was held today in Nizhnekamsk. The President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov participated in the solemn event. Unfavorable weather conditions didn’t stop “black diggers”. Another violation in the field of the use of natural resources was prevented last weekend in Kazan on Yuzhno-promyshlennaya street (near Otara village). Sand was extracted without the relevant documentation on the area of 1.2 thousand square meters. The drivers of an auto-loader and a digger were apprehended, and KAMAZ trucks that transported common mineral resources were registered. Inspectors of the Ministry of Ecology drew a protocol according to part 1 of Article 7.3 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation “Use of natural resources without an appropriate license to use natural resources”. All the documents pertaining to the case will be referred to the law enforcement agencies to initiate a criminal case.

The contest is aimed at propaganda of careful attitude to natural resources, their rational use, as well as involvement in nature protection activity. Pupils of 1-11 forms can participate in the contest along with groups, creative associations of music and pre-school educational establishments that show interest in studying and preservation of the native environment.
