Two new swans appeared in the bird world of Lake Kaban. Representatives of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan and Kazan Zoological Garden let two mute swans who had been nurtured at the zoological and botanical garden loose into the lake. A session of the Federal Ecological Board under the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan took place today and concerned "Presentation of ecological projects of Russian regions in the framework of the Year of Ecology and Specially Protected Areas".
