Farid Abdulganiev: "Joint work is actively held with all the organizations engaged in the nature protection activity to prevent, reveal and suppress violations of the water protection legislation". Today, the Minister presented a report during the session of the Federal Ecological Board.

A session of the Federal Ecological Board under the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan took place today and concerned "Presentation of ecological projects of Russian regions in the framework of the Year of Ecology and Specially Protected Areas". One of the reports was devoted to the ecological work carried out in the Republic of Tatarstan this year, as well as the work planned for 2017, which was announced the Year of Ecology.

According to Farid Abdulganiev, this year was announced in Tatarstan as the Year of water protection areas. A total of 2 billion rubles were allocated from the republican budget to finance the activity aimed at creation of recreation areas along the water bodies.

"The Ministry together with all the nature protection organizations enhanced their work on prevention, revelation and suppression of the violations of the nature protection legislation, - said the Minister.  - We have a well-established system of legal precedents on assurance of free access to the water bodies. In 80% of cases, the offenders demolish the facilities hindering access voluntarily and within the established period of time.

Farid Abdulganiev emphasized that a large-scale work in carried out in the Republic to equip large stationary sources with the devices for continuous automated control of the amount and extent of emissions. For instance, the largest oil processing company TANEKO that processes 8 million tons of oil per year has already equipped two principal stationary sources with automated sensors for emission control.

This year, selling of marine motor fuel was completely prohibited at all gas filling stations of the Republic.

As for the state ecological surveillance in 2016 and 2017, a task has been set to inspect the water protection areas of water bodies of the Republic in a complex manner along with the states of all current purification facilities and waste storage facilities.

Moreover, a local scheme of management of consumption and production waste will be implemented in the Republic, and a regional operator (or operators) will set to work in 2017.

Implementation of a large-scale project on reconstruction of Admiralteyskaya Sloboda in Kazan including consistent development of both the territory of Sloboda itself, and eco-reclamation of the water area of the Admiralteyskiy Pond will be continued in 2017 in the framework of preparation of the Republic for decent hosting of the Football Mondial in 2018 and celebration of the 300th anniversary of Admiralteyskaya Verf.

As for ecological education, it is planned to hold an open contest of socially and ecological advertisement "Clear view". Despite the fact, that pieces of work from more than 50 constituent units of the Russian Federation participate in it every year, it will become even more large-scale.

At the end of his report, the Minister acknowledged that a legislative base was elaborated on the federal level to develop eco-oriented economics. He expressed his gratitude to the Government and the Ministerfor Natural Resources and Ecology of the Russian Federation, Sergey Donskoy, for active and committed position in this matter.
