The national selection stage of the annual international competition "European Tree of the Year" is being held. The contest has been held since 2011 in all European countries and is becoming more popular every year. Russia has been participating in the prestigious international competition since 2018 and is consistently among the top three winners. The competition is organized by the non-profit partnership strategic Alliance "HEALTHY FOREST".
