Elabuga schoolchildren are ready to give a helping hand to the environment. In the framework of the sanitary and ecological two-month period the schoolchildren will conduct a number of environmental activities in their home town: cleanups to remove garbage, planting trees and waste collecting for secondary use, interesting lessons on natural sciences with school kids of lower grades. 

Current ecological problems were discussed by the schoolchildren in the framework of the scientific and practical conference of students and schoolchildren “Science and Us”. The most topical were issues of environmental pollution, irrational use of natural resources, and formation of illegal garbage dumps. Young researchers not only presented reports on the environment, but also proposed ways to solve environmental problems. 

Buinsk pre-school children participated in the ecological contest “ECOVESNA2017”. The eco-event was held by the teachers of the kindergarten together with the specialists of Zavolzhsky Territorial Administration of the Ministry of Ecology and Nature Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan. Children with their parents made birdhouses and hung them on trees.

In Naberezhnye Chelny, Deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Alfiya Kogogina conducted environmental lessons in the city universities: the Naberezhnye Chelny Trade and Technological Institute and the Naberezhnye Chelny State Pedagogical University. The lessons were conducted in conjunction with specialists from the Kama Territorial Administration of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan. 

Cleanups were held in all cities and districts of Tatarstan last weekend. More than 20 thousand people came out to clean up the territories. Recall, a sanitary-ecological two-month was launched on April 1 in the republic. “ECO-spring is a period when everyone joins the team of nature guards, regardless of age and position. And it’s not only cleanups on Wednesdays and Saturdays, not only garbage collection, it’s all sorts of flash mobs, tree planting events, making nest boxes and feeders, conducting environmental lessons, picking up trash and sorting garbage, up to writing poems and songs”, said Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan Farid Abdulganiev.

A mass cleanupwas held today on the coastal territory of the Nizhniy Kaban Lake. More than 200 Tatarstanians took bags, brooms and rakes, among them: employees of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, actors of the Tatar State Academic Theater named after Kamal, activists of the movement “Budetchisto”, the public movement “Silver Volunteers” and concerned citizens.
