Most eco-active school chosen in Kazan

The names of winners of the city contest “Most active school” became known. In Kazan, the remote stage of the environmental contest, organized by the social-sports movement “Green Fitness”, was held. 11 teams, most actively taking part in the absentee stages of the event, gathered in the sports complex “Stroitel” of the Kazan University to present their performances at the finals.
On the absentee stage the schoolchildren held environmental actions and events in their educational institutions. For two months of work, the children cleared the school territory of garbage, collected waste paper, developed environmental projects, held reserved lessons for younger schoolchildren. Yulia Saferova, the leading specialist of the Department of Environmental Education and Interaction with Public Organizations of the Ministry of Ecology of Tatarstan, noted the hgh level of environmental education of children and suggested that the action be continued within the framework of the Eco-spring-2017. “During the sanitary-ecological two-month period, you can combine your efforts and conduct similar environmental activities. The most active will be awarded with valuable prizes in the Eco School contest nomination. This year, another contest “100 green corners of the Republic of Tatarstan” was added, within which the most active schools will receive planting materials for the improvement of their territories to create additional public spaces”, the specialist of the Ministry of Ecology said.

The title “Most active school” in Kazan was received by the school No.54. It was the students of this schools who conducted the largest number of environmental activities, developed unique ecological projects, and presented bright performances. The second place was won by the team of the school No.161, and the third place was awarded to gymnasium No.37. The winners were awarded with the Cup “Best School – Kazan”, gifts from the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan, and many other valuable prizes.
