Kazanka, Mesha, Shoshma, Atninka, Ashit. A number of enterprises in the Northern region of Tatarstan discharge into these rivers. The inspectors of the Northern Territorial Administration of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan regularly monitor and check the water quality. Last year, within the framework of environmental monitoring, the specialists of the Ministry of Ecology Laboratory revealed a number of violations. In the sampling of sewage samples, excesses of a number of components were detected: ammonium ion, nitrite ion, phosphate ion, manganese, and others.

A metal fence restricting free access to the Shilna river bank was demolished in the Tukaev District of the Republic of Tatarstan. Earlier, the inspectors of the Prikamsky Territorial Administration of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan compiled a protocol under Article 8.12.1 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation (“Non-compliance with the provision of free access of citizens to a public water body and its coastal strip”).

The Minister of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Russian Federation, Sergey Donskoy, sent a telegram to the heads of the regions with a proposal to set up hazardous waste collection points near the buildings of the regional authorities for the purpose of implementing paragraph 46 of the plan of key measures to hold the Year of the Ecology in 2017 in the Russian Federation, as reported on the website of the Ministry of Natural Resources of Russia.

As in the past year, the organizer of the mass action is the South-Eastern Territorial Administration of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan.

Students from the village of Tatar-Burnashevskoye planted 500 young pine trees and 20 poplars. Ecologists told about how to properly plant and care. Anna Apaeva, the inspector of the Central Territorial Administration of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, said that the event is timed to the Day of Environmental Knowledge: “Today, children not only took part in planting trees, but also contributed to the preservation of nature.

The impact of human activities on nature, pollution of water bodies, formation of garbage dumps – these and other issues on the Day of Environmental Knowledge were discussed in the secondary general Tatar-Russian school No. 48 of Privolzhsky district of Kazan. The lesson about nature was conducted by Yulia Saferova, the leading specialist of the department of environmental education and interaction with public organizations of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan together with representatives of the youth organization Young Guard of the party United Russia.

The Day of Environmental Education is celebrated annually on May 12 in Russia and the CIS countries. The main goal of the holiday is the actualization of environmental knowledge in all sciences and all fields of human activity.
The ecological holiday is directly related to every inhabitant of the Earth, since the planet is a home for people, regardless of age, nationality, and life status. The Day of Environmental Education encourages people to think about how to protect the environment and prevent its catastrophe.

Young scientists of Tatarstan are invited to participate in the International Scientific Conference “Chemistry and Engineering Ecology – XVII”. The event is dedicated to the Year of Ecology and Public Spaces in the Republic of Tatarstan.
