Kazanka, Mesha, Shoshma, Atninka, Ashit. A number of enterprises in the Northern region of Tatarstan discharge into these rivers. The inspectors of the Northern Territorial Administration of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan regularly monitor and check the water quality. Last year, within the framework of environmental monitoring, the specialists of the Ministry of Ecology Laboratory revealed a number of violations. In the sampling of sewage samples, excesses of a number of components were detected: ammonium ion, nitrite ion, phosphate ion, manganese, and others. This is a violation of Article 8.42 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation (“Violation of the special regime for the implementation of economic and other activities on the coastal protective belt of a water body, water protection zone of a water body, or the regime for carrying out economic and other activities in the zone of sanitary protection of sources of drinking and domestic water supply”, Article 8.13. Administrative Code of the Russian Federation (“Violation of the rules for the protection of water bodies”). According to the methodology for calculating the amount of damage caused to water bodies as a result of violation of water legislation approved by the order of the Ministry of Natural Resources of Russia, damage was calculated. In order to prevent such violations, it was proposed to build or modernize biological treatment facilities. As a result of the response of state inspectors, the work was carried out at the following sites:
- Baltasinsky area, settlement Karelino: major overhaul of biological treatment facilities with external networks and sewage pumping stations;
- Arsk: major repairs of biological treatment facilities with external networks and sewage pumping stations;
- Atninsky district, settlement Bolshaya Atnya: major overhaul of biological treatment facilities;
- Sabinsky district, Zavod-Nyrty village: construction of biological treatment facilities.
