Ecological and educational campaign “Lesson of cleanliness” was held today at Special School No. 7 of Kazan for 7th and 8th-graders, and it was devoted to the waste management problem. The Minister for Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, Artem Sidorov, was appointed Head of the Federal Service for Supervision of Natural Resource Usage. Artem Sidorov headed the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan since November 2010. Within his service period, he managed to achieve a game-changing level for ecological safety assurance in the Republic:
- a regional element of the system for ecological monitoring was developed, the information on the quality of components of the environment on the territory of the Republic of Tatarstan became available to the population;
- ecological surveillance was enhanced, the profile of state inspectors for nature protection in the Republic of Tatarstan was raised, the amount of illegal activities and violations in the fieldIn order to ensure more efficient prevention of violations of nature protection legislation, the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan will implement material stimulation for citizens who provided information on the violation of nature protection legislation and registered the offender or the vehicle as of August 1, 2015.
