Farid Abdulganiev and Rauzil Khaziev discussed the issues pertaining to further cooperation

Today, the delegation of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan headed by the Minister Farid Abdulganiev along with fellow workers of the Department of the Federal Service for Supervision of Natural Resource Usage for the Republic of Tatarstan familiarized with the process of production of electric/heat power at the subsidiary of the “Generating Company” OJSC of Kazan Central Heating and Power Plant – 1, as well as with nature protection activity of the company. The delegation was accompanied by Director General of the “Generating Company” OJSC, Rauzil Khaziev. Representatives of the Ministry of Ecology and the Department of the Federal Service for Supervision of Natural Resource Usage familiarized with the history of development of production capacities of the company, the technology of production of heat and electric energy, as well as the results of implementation of nature protection measures providing for the reduction of discharges and emissions of pollutants into the air and water bodies. Moreover, the company submitted a plan of construction of a new combined cycle gas turbine unit PGU – 230 MWt with a low level of discharge of nitrogen oxides into the air that will be equipped with automatic sensors for control of the content of pollutants in exhaust gases. The problems of air pollution with hydrocarbon vapours in the course of dispensing operations were discussed while inspecting mazut-handling equipment, and the ways of their solution were outlined.

         Farid Abdulganiev acknowledged positive success of Kazan Central Heating and Power Plant – 1 in the field of nature protection and expressed willingness to cooperate in solution of ecological problems. In particular, the Minister offered support with elaboration of the company’s ecological program for 2016-2018.

         Following the results of familiarization with the nature protection activity of the subsidiary of the “Generating Company” OJSC of Kazan Central Heating and Power Plant – 1, the Ministry’s management and the “Generating Company” OJSC agreed on further interaction in the course of solution of issues related to reduction of discharges of pollutants into the air, as well as to fulfillment of the requirements of the federal legislation pertaining to ecological monitoring.
