The idea of holding it was first voiced at the United Nations Conference on Environment and Development (UNCED) in 1992 in Rio de Janeiro.

The event, dedicated to the week of biology and ecology, was attended by pupils of 2-7 grades of the lyceum. The game QUEST was organized for them, during which the children were divided into 4 teams, their task was to collect garbage separately.
