Today the staff of the department was congratulated on the 20th anniversary of the Geo-center of the Republic of Tatarstan, at the weekly meeting of the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan. The Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, Aleksandr Shadrikov, rewarded his colleagues, thanking them for their daily hard work, wished prosperity to their work and achievements of new professional heights.

The Naberezhnye Chelny enterprise producing concrete mixes is brought to administrative responsibility for ignoring the instructions of ecologists. Initially, residents of the Avtozavodskiy district of Naberezhnye Chelny addressed the Prikamskiy Territorial Administration of the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan. There was a persistent acrid smell and smoke near the plant, they said. After visiting the site and taking samples of plant emissions, environmentalists found that the company allowed carbon monoxide, methane and other pollutants to be released into the atmosphere. The environmentalists imposed fines totaling 100 thousand rubles on the legal entity and responsible officials of the enterprise, and passed on a recommendation to eliminate the offense. However, within the prescribed period (1 month) the requirements of environmentalists were not met. A legal entity that failed to fulfill the submission has been brought to administrative responsibility. Now, violators of environmental legislation face penalties up to the suspension of the enterprise’s activities.

706 complaints were received by the Republican Public Reception Office of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan from the beginning of the year.

Dirty water flows from a pipe into the Melekeska River in the micro-district Krasnye Chelny, along Mysovaya Street. The message was received at the Prikamskiy Territorial Administration of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan via a hotline. In order to survey the territory, environmentalists went to the site where the fact of discharge was confirmed. An administrative investigation is currently underway.

Today, All-Russian Scientific and Practical Conference “Forming an Ecological Culture in Bilingual Educational Environment” was held in the premises of Gymnasium No. 155, where the Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan Aleksandr Shadrikov took part.

4 new public environmental inspectors received certificates from the hands of the Deputy Head of the Central Territorial Administration of the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan, Anna Apayeva. The work of activists includes monitoring of compliance with requirements of environmental authorities and fixing environmental violations, as well as participation in raids.

For the purpose of environmental education a thematic day dedicated to the water and water space of our planet was held for pupils of the “Kindergarten No. 2 “Planeta detstva (Planet of Childhood)” of Almetyevsk town. Children in an entertaining way became acquainted with the properties of water and learned how important it is to preserve water and protect it from various contaminants.

Schoolchildren of Nizhnekamskiy district are actively preparing for April 1, International Day of Birds. They demonstrated their knowledge in the field of ornithology and practical skills in making bird feeders for feathered friends as part of an eco-festival in Gabdulla Tukai Park.

Illumination of more than 18,000 architectural monuments will be turned off on the planet as part of the most massive environmental campaign “Earth Hour”. More than 2 billion people from 188 countries of the world take part in it. In 2019, the International Earth Hour will be held for the 13th time - the campaign will be held on Saturday, March 30. Everyone can take part in it, it is only necessary to turn off the lights and household electrical appliances from 8:30 pm to 9:30 pm.
