Today, the awarding ceremony of the winners of the republican "School Eco-Patrol" contest was held in the Tatar State Puppet Theater "Akiyat" of the city of Kazan. From September 1, 2017 to August 31, 2018 pupils of educational institutions of the Republic of Tatarstan participated in it. The contest was organized by the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan together with the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Tatarstan and the Ministry of Informatization and Communication of the Republic of Tatarstan. Pupils of educational organizations with the help of a specially created mobile application recorded and sent to the Ministry of Ecology information about unauthorized waste disposal sites, upon which the inspectors took measures to eliminate them. In total, more than 7,200 photo messages on unauthorized waste disposal sites were sent.

In addition to environmentalists, creative abilities of waste recycling were evaluated by Marat Sultanov, Head of the Aznakaevo Executive Committee, Albert Rakhmanov, Head of Education Department, Elvir Khazeev, Head of Aznakaevskiy Forest District, Eduard Chikurov, Director of Aznakaevskiy Forestry Enterprise, and Valeriy Timiryaev, Head of Town Improvement Enterprise.
