Pupils from 18 educational institutions of the city of Kazan and the Spasskiy district of the Republic united to jointly develop the system of separate waste collection on the territory of their schools. Last weekend, the Eco-OON Conference was held at the Kazan Gymnasium No. 5 by the Tatarstan Regional Branch of the Russian Student Groups All-Russian Public Organization and the Regional Youth Organization “Will be Clean” with support of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan.

9,695 appeals were received by the Republican Public Reception Office of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan from the beginning of the year. Most of them – 5,058 - through the School Eco-patrol mobile application. According to the “People’s control” system, environmentalists reviewed 1,277 messages, 1,250 notifications were received via WhatsApp, Telegram, Eco.signal, “Hotline” communication channels. 2,110 appeals were received at the personal receptions of citizens and through the reception of the Ministry.

More than 7,000 applications were received from Tatarstan pupils in the framework of the IV Republican contest “School Eco-patrol”. Awarding of the most active pupils, classes and schools will be held on November 21 in Kazan. The largest number of participants this season is recorded from Nizhnekamskiy and Spasskiy districts of the republic and the city of Kazan. Among them are schoolchildren who scored more than 1000 points.

The staff of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan expresses its deep condolences to the first President of the Republic of Tatarstan, State Councilor of the Republic of Tatarstan, Mintimer Sharipovich Shaimiev, all relatives and friends in connection with the death of Sakina Shakirovna Shaimieva.

Damage to soils in Yutazinskiy district amounted to over 9 million rubles. A joint audit was conducted by inspectors of the Priikskiy Territorial Administration of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan and employees of the district Prosecutor’s Office. As a result of the unauthorized placement and burial of oil sludge, bituminous oily waste and metal tanks, 3,096 sq.m of territory was polluted.

43 environmental violations were recorded by environmentalists during a helicopter fly-over. The Deputy Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, Chief State Inspector in the Field of Environmental Protection, Fayaz Shakirov, conducted a raid inspection of the territory of Kazan, Vysokogorskiy, Zelenodolskiy, Laishevskiy, Pestrechinskiy, Arskiy, Atninskiy and Baltasinskiy districts.

Preschool children are just beginning to get acquainted with the environment: the laws of nature, animals and plants. And a lot of work on environmental education lies with the workers of kindergartens. In the premises of kindergarten No. 5 "Balakach" of Mamadysh town together with the Prikamskiy Territorial Administration of the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan, a regional workshop was held for educators of the preschool institution on the topic: "Innovative approaches in raising environmental culture of preschool children".

From November 19 to December 15, pupils of grades 3-6 of the city of Kazan are accepted to participate in an open command interactive game within the framework of the All-Russian campaign "Osprey is a bird of 2018". To participate in the qualifying round, it is necessary to form a team of five people and prepare a presentation on the topic “We and the World of Birds”, including photos of participants and a story about their environmental or research activities, as well as osprey drawings.

The problem of waste is undoubtedly one of the most important problems of modern society. In order to develop environmental awareness among children in Elabuga, a regional seminar on development of environmental culture of the younger generation was held in the premises of a combined type kindergarten No. 39 “Kilechek”. Within the framework of the project, containers for separate waste collection are installed in the kindergarten. The project helped children to understand that you cannot throw garbage thoughtlessly.

Cleaned up the spring and took water samples for further research. Pupils of the Arskiy Primary School No. 3 continue to actively explore the nature of their native land: this time they visited springs along the Kazanka River. “The water here is very clean and today's tour was interesting. In the future, I would like to learn more about the wealth of the native land and continue to participate in environmental protection measures”, said young environmentalists.
