On April 1, a sanitary and ecological two-month period will start in Tatarstan. Meetings were held to prepare for large-scale works aimed at improving the sanitary and ecological condition of the territory of the republic and creating a favorable environment in the regions of Tatarstan. The zonal meetings were attended by employees of the Ministry of Ecology and heads of executive committees of districts and cities.

Diffuse runoff of polluted meltwater into the Pshalymka River was found in the Arsky district in the village of Verkhny Pshalym. The inspector of the Northern Territorial Administration, together with specialists of the Environmental Supervision Department of the Ministry of Ecology, took samples of the surface natural water of the Pshalymka river (above and below the diffuse runoff). The results of the analyses showed the excess in natural water below the diffuse runoff for the following pollutants: for nitrites by 8.5 times, for iron by 5.3 times, for ammonium ion by 2.5 times, for phosphates by 1.6 times.

The Kazan Petrochemical College named after V. P. Lushnikov hosted an award ceremony for the winners of the regional stage of the professional skills championship "Professionals" in 2023 in the competence "Environmental protection". The IV scientific and practical conference "Ecology and us" was held in the Aleshkin-Saplyk school named after V. S. Dementiev of the Drozhzhanovsky district. Damir Valiullin, Head of the Department of Information Systems and Environmental Education of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, took part in the event.
