The Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan received an appeal that illegal earthworks are being carried out in the water protection zone of the Mesha River near the village of Sokura, Laishevsky district.

The Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan hosted an expanded meeting of the Scientific and Technical Council of the Ministry. The meeting was chaired by Deputy Minister of Ecology Olga Manidicheva.

According to the information received about the fish catching on the lakes Maloe and Bolshoe Chuikovo of the Novo-Savinovsky district, inspectors of the Central Territorial Administration and specialists of the laboratory of the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan promptly went to the place.

Inspectors of the South-Eastern Territorial Department of the Ministry of Ecology held an educational eco-lesson on the topic "We take care of nature at any time of the year" for the pupils of kindergarten No. 38 of the village of Srednyaya Kamyshla of the Nurlatsky district. Ecologists told the preschool children about the seasons. The kids learned what to do in each season of the year to help nature. For example, plant a tree, collect garbage on the street or in the country. Some children are already helping their parents in the country to grow vegetables and take care of pets. Also, inspectors of the South-Eastern TA held an eco-lesson on forest protection for children from rural schools of the Leninogorsk district. 

In order to prevent contamination of water bodies during the flood and to exclude the ingress of diffuse effluents into rivers and lakes, inspectors of the Zavolzhsky Territorial Department of the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan regularly conduct raids to survey territories falling into the zone of possible flooding.

On April 6 and 7, Tatarstan citizens took an active part in the collection of electronic and electrical equipment waste in Kazan and Zelenodolsk. Budgetary institutions, their subordinate organizations, kindergartens, schools and caring residents of Tatarstan have handed over more than 4 tons of electrical waste for disposal. The Central Department of Environmental Supervision of the Ministry of Ecology also joined the campaign and handed over 25 units of spent equipment for disposal. All the collected machinery and electrical equipment will be transferred for processing to a specialized ecological combine.

Employees of the state unitary enterprise "Scientific and Production Association for Geology and Subsoil Use of the Republic of Tatarstan" carry out search and evaluation work to provide residents of the republic with high-quality drinking water.
