In five years, as part of the federal Clean Country project of the national Ecology project, 128 unauthorized landfills within the boundaries of cities and 80 hazardous facilities that occupied 2.2 thousand hectares of land were removed in Russia. This was stated in an interview with Rossiyskaya Gazeta by Deputy Head of the Ministry of Natural Resources Murad Kerimov and cited the most active regions, including Tatarstan, as an example.

575 applications have been received by the Republican Public Environmental Reception since the beginning of the year. 

Siberian scientists have identified more than 15 species of insects in the Kurilsky Nature Reserve. Moreover, two of them are for the first time in Russia. Such a discovery is important both for Kunashir Island, where butterflies were discovered, and for the entire fauna of Russia.

Since the beginning of the year, more than 759 thousand measurements have been carried out by automatic air pollution control stations of the Ministry of Ecology, including more than 254 thousand measurements carried out by five automatic air pollution control stations in Kazan.

Unauthorized storage of snow from winter road cleaning was revealed during an on-site survey of the territory of Aznakaevo by ecologists of the Priiksky territorial administration.
