Thanks to the support of the Head of Tatarstan, since 2021, the Ministry of Ecology and GBU Geocenter has been creating a digital and roadmap, where all water intakes and wells will be taken into account. Such a unified register has only just begun to be created in Russia.

This decade and this year are taking place in our country under the auspices of science. In the Republic of Tatarstan, the scientific approach has always been a priority in solving all key tasks and aspects.

Global climate change, greenhouse effect. Now we are hearing more and more about this and more and more often we associate certain paradoxical weather changes with this. At the moment, about half of anthropogenic emissions accumulate in the atmosphere, which increase the greenhouse effect and accelerate global warming.

Today we are telling the audience of Tatarstan about the results and achievements of the pilot project of the Ministry of Ecology on the reintroduction of falcons and sakers in the program "Clean Environment" at the TC "Tatarstan 24". The curator of the project, Deputy Minister of Ecology Olga Manidicheva and scientific supervisor, Professor, Doctor of Biological Sciences Ilgizar Rakhimov will share the details of the project and tell what difficulties they had to face and what was the main success in this work. It turns out that these tiny cyanobacteria, which we used to consider the culprits of the flowering of our reservoirs, are real record holders in the concentration of nutrients and valuable trace elements. What causes their rapid reproduction, detrimental to the ecosystem of rivers and lakes, why almost all rivers bloom and why such flowering is dangerous for biological resources – this will be told by Dmitry Ivanov, Candidate of Biological Sciences, Deputy Director of the Institute of Ecology and Subsoil Use of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan.

We are talking about the red Book Saker falcons - this is a beautiful bird of prey, one of the fastest on the planet. It once lived in Tatarstan, but was last seen here in 1974. In 2023, a unique project of the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan was launched with the grant support of SIBUR for the revival of Saker falcons.
