Tatarstan has begun to revive what disappeared more than half a century ago
We are talking about the red Book Saker falcons - this is a beautiful bird of prey, one of the fastest on the planet. It once lived in Tatarstan, but was last seen here in 1974. In 2023, a unique project of the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan was launched with the grant support of SIBUR for the revival of Saker falcons. The Saker falcon chicks were brought to the Kamsko-Ustinsky district of the republic, volunteers help them survive in the wild and create conditions for the falcons to enjoy their historical habitat. What is the uniqueness of this bird and why did it disappear more than half a century ago? This is stated in our ecological program "Clean Tatarstan".
