Fashionable scrap: schoolchildren of Alekseev district created a collection of clothes from recyclable materials

School students of Alekseev district show their care to natural resources in an unusual way. They help preserve the environment by using recycled materials. Within the framework of the Year of Ecology, the students presented sketches of ecological fashion at the regional festival “Curious Studies of the Surrounding World – 2017”. As the organizers of the event noted, this contest is one of the components of the long-term educational project “Ecology and Children”. The festival is aimed at raising the level of ecological knowledge among children and fostering an ecological culture. Young fashion designers and designers presented the guests of the event with unique outfits made of plastic bags, plastic bottles, disposable dishes and other household waste. Smallaccessories like artificial flowers, paper jewelry, headgear added to the clothes a particularchic. The original pieces madeby schoolchildren did not go unnoticed by the inspectors of the Volga-Kama territorial administration of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan. “Each outfit was distinguished for its uniqueness and originality. Fantasies of children do not know the boundaries. They said with certainty that household waste can be useful and functional. Schoolchildren created beautiful clothes from secondary materials, thereby investing their efforts in protecting the environment, – the environmentalists noted.
