As part of the new national project "Environmental well-being" Tatarstan has planned the implementation of 8 environmental initiatives with total funding of 3 billion rubles. The main part of the funds will be used for work on the federal project "Water of Russia", Minister of Ecology Azat Ziganshin said at a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan.

Over the past 8 years, over 1300 environmental measures have been carried out in the republic with total financing of about 107 billion rubles. Thanks to the work carried out, it was possible to avoid environmental losses in the amount of 117 billion rubles and improve the quality of life for 3.5 million residents.

"Tatarstan's investments in the environment exceed those of large regions of the Russian Federation, such as Moscow and St. Petersburg," the minister stressed.

The largest companies in the republic, such as Tatneft, SIBUR, TAIF-nk and Gazprom Transgaz Kazan, invested over 33 billion rubles in equipment modernization and environmental solutions from 2022 to 2025.
