Today ECOleaders from all over the Republic of Tatarstanmet in Kazan. Each of them is the best. Each of them has made a significant contribution to the environmental protection. The environmentalists were congratulated by the Prime Minister of TatarstanIldarKhalikov. Every year the importance of the contestgrows, the Prime said, noting, that today manyecological issues have priorityin the Republic of Tatarstan President’sactivities. He appreciated an active attitude of the people of the republicon this issue, noting that in a course of intensive work many problems, accumulated over the years, have been solved.
One of the honoured guests of the festival was VeniaminSelifanov– Volga interregional environmental prosecutor. “We often deal with offenders, people who destroy nature, but you make the world cleaner,” –the prosecutorsaid, and calledhis colleagues in the natureprotection goal all those present in the hall.
FatihSibagatullin, Deputy of the State Duma of Russia,said that in the Year of Ecology a lot of issues and challengesshould be solved collectively. He stressed that Tatarstan“before all other regions must take up the case and put things in order.”
Deputy of the State Council of TatarstanTakhirHadievthanked “leaders, soul-mates, who know that a lot depends on us” for active and coordinated work.
Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of TatarstanFaridAbdulganiyev expressed hope that in 2017, the Year of ecology and public spaces,many problemswill be solved incomprehensive, systematic and cohesive way. “This is already the 13th ceremony of awarding the winners of contest “ECO-leader” and “Man and Nature.” During thistime, much has been done in our republic. This includes green technologiesused in the constructionof large industrial facilities, development of geo-information systems and e-ecology, protection of free access to our water bodies. Today we are happy to congratulate the best of the best,” – the Ministerconcluded.
