The campaign “Clean shores” has been held in Chistopol

The ecological campaign “Clean shores” was held by the Volga-Kama Territorial Department under the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan along with administration of Chistopol municipal district and Chistopol. Head of Chistopol municipal district Ildus Akhmetzyanov, deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Alexander Sidikin, Deputy Minister for Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan – Chief State Inspector of the Republic of Tatarstan for Nature Protection Ramil Nizamov, Head of the Republican Department of the Russian Geographical Society Dmitry Shiller, Deputy Chairperson of the Assembly of the Peoples of Tatarstan Sagit Dzhaksynbaev participated in the event.
A meeting was held in the framework of the campaign “Clean shores”. Then participants of the event placed a memorial tablet on the place of destroyed stone church in honor of the Kazan icon of the Mother of God.
After that participants of the campaign descended to the river Kama to clean the shore from litter. The Chief State Inspector of the Republic of Tatarstan Ramil Nizamov participated in submerging under the water together with divers of Chistopol department of the Russian Geographical Society. In the course of the campaign, two truckloads of solid domestic waste and old branches were collected from the coastal area.
