An environmental education lesson was conducted by inspectors of the Ministry of Ecology in Naberezhnye Chelny

27 January 2026, Tuesday

Inspectors from the Kama Department of the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan visited school No. 51 in Naberezhnye Chelny. Experts conducted an eco-lesson for 8th grade students.

The inspectors told the students about key environmental issues such as pollution of atmospheric air, soils, and water bodies and how they can be solved. Special attention was paid to federal and republican initiatives aimed at improving the environmental situation. The children learned about the goals and objectives of the All-Russian coastal cleaning campaign "Water of Russia", which is being carried out as part of the national project "Environmental well-being".  For the fifth year in a row, Tatarstan has become the leader of this campaign. In total, 2 million Tatarstan citizens took part in it.

The theoretical part later turned into a practical one. To consolidate the material, the students answered the quiz questions. The most lively part of the meeting was the thinking game "What would you do?". The children were offered simulated situations that require environmentally responsible solutions. The students offered their own options: to record the violation on the phone and inform the supervisory authorities, contact adults, organize a clean-up day, and conduct an explanatory conversation with violators. This game not only tests knowledge, but also develops a sense of personal responsibility for the world around you.

"Such lessons are extremely important. We see a lively response and understand that a generation is growing up for whom caring for nature is the norm of life," said Yulia Markelova, inspector of the Kama Department.
