Inspectors of the Prikamsky Department conducted an eco-lesson for fourth graders of school No. 13 in Naberezhnye Chelny.

The eco-lesson was dedicated to the feathered inhabitants of our region. Special attention was paid to those birds that stay for the winter. The inspectors noted that in forests, city parks and squares in winter, you can find not only the usual sparrows, blue pigeons and magpies, but also bullfinches, nuthatches, wandering flocks of pipits, as well as tits: large, azure, coal tit. The inspectors not only talked, but also demonstrably showed educational films about feathered neighbors.

The inspectors explained how difficult it is for birds to find food under snow and ice, and discussed in detail how to properly take care of them in winter: what can and cannot be fed, how often should the feeders be filled, and where should they be placed to protect feathered friends from predators.

"It is important to develop animal care in children from an early age. We are confident that the event helped students gain new knowledge and became an important step towards the development of environmental awareness, which corresponds to the objectives of the national project "Environmental well-being," the inspectors noted.
