The court ordered the violator to eliminate the unauthorized storage of waste in Nizhnekamsk.
The Nizhnekamsk City Court upheld the environmentalists' demands and ordered the chairman of the Petrokam-Avto garage cooperative to eliminate violations of environmental legislation and pay the amount of damage caused to nature.
Earlier, the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan received a video recording as part of an appeal from residents. According to the applicants, the video shows the chairman of the Petrokam-Avto Group dumping waste in Nizhnekamsk on Industrialnaya Street.
Inspectors of the Zakamsky department went to the place. During the inspection of the territory, the violation was confirmed. Experts found an unauthorized landfill with an area of 65 sq.m.
Environmentalists have calculated the amount of damage caused to the soil. It amounted to 51 thousand rubles.
A claim was sent to the official demanding that the landfill be liquidated and the amount of damage paid. But the instructions were not followed.
The Ministry appealed to the Nizhnekamsk City Court with a statement of claim. The court fully supported the environmentalists' demands.
