Inspectors of the Zavolzhsky Administration conducted a lesson on "Ecologists — defenders of nature" at Buinsky Lyceum No. 2 for 3rd grade students. The children were taught the importance of caring for the world around them. Firaya Kalimullina, a specialist from the Zavolzhsky Department of the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan, spoke to the students and told them what each of them can do to protect nature.

After the theoretical part, the practical part began. The children participated in quizzes and games where they applied new knowledge. The students also sang songs, danced and showed small skits about the proper sorting of garbage and the need to take care of nature. They especially liked the game, in which it was necessary to sort different types of waste into containers — the third graders coped with this task easily.

"It is very important that children learn from an early age to take care of nature,— said Firaya Kalimullina. "We see that the guys are interested in this, they actively participate in the conversation and offer their ideas."

Such events help to achieve the goals of the national Environmental Well-being project. They form healthy habits in children and an understanding that the state of the environment depends on the actions of each person.
