Inspectors of the Southeastern Department of the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan held a meeting with participants of the "Living Clay" circle at the Kilechek Children's Creativity center in the Nurlat district.
Venera Mingaleeva, a senior specialist at the Southeastern Department of the Ministry of Ecology, spoke about clay as a natural resource. The participants of the circle learned about various types of clay, their properties and practical applications in various industries — from ceramic production to construction. The inspector also focused on clay extraction methods, from traditional manual methods to modern technologies. The specialist from the Ministry of Ecology stressed the importance of caring for natural resources and taking a responsible approach to their use.
"It is important that an understanding of the value of natural resources and responsibility for their conservation is formed from childhood," said Venera Mingaleeva. – Educational events like this contribute to the achievement of the goals set by the national Environmental Well-being project.
During the meeting, the children were shown samples of different types of clay, differing in color, texture and plasticity. The participants of the circle were able to review the materials in detail and ask questions.
As a result of the meeting, the children not only expanded their knowledge about the natural resources of their native land, but also received an invitation to an excursion to the clay mining site, where they could see the whole process with their own eyes.
