The Minister of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan Alexander Shadrikov today introduced the delegates of the scientific conference named after A. I. Shchepovskikh with the operation of automatic air purity control stations of the Ministry of Ecology.
The head of the department said that the Ministry monitors the quality of Tatarstan's atmospheric air around the clock. There are 17 automatic monitoring stations operating in the republic, and 6 mobile environmental laboratories are also used in the monitoring system.
Sampling at the stations takes place every 20 seconds with an average of 20-40 minutes. Over 4 million measurements are carried out on 36 pollutants per year.
As part of agreements with the largest enterprises of the Republic, such as Nizhnekamskneftekhim, TANECO, TAIF NK, Tatneft and Kazanorgsintez, the Ministry additionally receives information on the state of atmospheric air from 13 automatic observation posts.
"So now we see data from 30 stations. Today we are ready to share all our best practices in the monitoring system. We are always open to dialogue, and if you have an interesting experience, we are ready to learn from it. We want Tatarstan and Kazan to be as safe as possible for the residents and guests of our Republic," said Alexander Shadrikov.
