Operation Clean Air has reached the equator: over 2,300 vehicles have been checked
In Tatarstan, the Clean Air operation is being carried out in support of the national Ecology project from June to September. Specialists of the Ministry, together with employees of the State Traffic Inspectorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tatarstan and the interregional territorial administration of Rostransnadzor in the Volga Federal District, check vehicles for "environmental friendliness" of exhaust emissions.
Since the beginning of June, 2,313 vehicles have been checked in 13 municipal districts of the republic. These are 2008 cars, 178 trucks and 127 buses. The excess was detected in 78, which is 3.4% of the number checked.
By October 1, it is planned to expand the geography of "Clean Air" and hold a campaign in 12 more municipal districts of the Republic of Tatarstan.
