Inspectors of the Zakamsky territorial Department of the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan revealed a number of violations in the activities of the consumer cooperative during a joint inspection with the district Prosecutor's Office. It was established that untreated wastewater was discharged from the site to the soil, flowing from there into the river. The area of contamination was 41 sq.m. In soil samples at the drain site, ecologists found an excess of ammonium ion by 3.47 times, nitrate nitrogen by 1.23 times, nitrite nitrogen by 1.25 times. The damage caused by soil pollution in the water protection zone amounted to about 235 thousand rubles.

In addition, the specialists of the Environmental Supervision Department of the Ministry examined samples of natural water. Below the discharge point into the Tatarsky Ilek River, exceedances were recorded in the following indicators: ammonium ion by 2 times, nitrates by 1.2 times, manganese by 1.4 times, iron by 1.3 times.

The revealed facts indicate a violation of at least three articles of the Code of Administrative Offences of the Russian Federation:

- Article 7.6 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation "Unauthorized occupation of a water body or use of it in violation of established conditions",

- Part 1 of Article 8.14 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation "Violation of the rules of water use when taking water, without removing water and when dumping wastewater into water bodies",

Currently, the survey materials have been transferred to the Prosecutor's Office of the Sarmanovsky district for taking measures of the prosecutor's response.
