Rustam Minnikhanov, Head of the Republic of Tatarstan, congratulated Rosvodresursy on the 20th anniversary of education

An Extended Board meeting dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the formation of the Federal Agency for Water Resources is taking place in Moscow today. The Republic of Tatarstan is represented at the event by Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan Alexander Shadrikov.

As part of his speech, the head of the environmental protection department congratulated the head and the staff of Rosvodresursy on the significant date, and also read out congratulations on behalf of the Head of The Republic of Tatarstan of Rustam Minnikhanov.

"Over the past years, the Agency has done a lot of work to establish the most important industry for the Russian Federation. Thanks to the assistance of the Federal Agency for Water Resources, large-scale projects have been successfully implemented in Tatarstan since 2006 to preserve and improve the condition of rivers, lakes and reservoirs. Major repairs of 95 hydraulic structures were carried out, riverbed control measures were implemented on river sections with a length of more than 61.5 km, 19.7 km of shore protection structures were built and reconstructed. All this is of great importance for the conservation and development of water resources in our region," the head of Tatarstan noted in his congratulatory speech. He thanked Dmitry Kirillov, Head of Rosvodresursy, for the comprehensive support of the Republic of Tatarstan, including during major international and All-Russian events.

"I am sure that your high professionalism and responsible approach to business will continue to effectively solve the most difficult tasks and contribute to the development of the industry," Rustam Minnikhanov stressed in his congratulatory address.

Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Patrushev, Minister of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Russian Federation Alexander Kozlov, heads and leaders of subjects of the Russian Federation, heads of environmental departments and structures, representatives of the scientific community also took part in the Expanded meeting of the board today.
