The Sarmanovsky copper mine is a cave with a length of several kilometers. It is believed that the mine is more than 300 years old. The entrance to the cave is located on the slope of Bakyr Tau mountain, near the town of Sarmanovo. The mine is popularly called "Bakyr Base", which means "copper cellar".
At first, it will be difficult for fans of traveling to make their way because of the narrow entrance, but after a few meters the cave expands and allows you to walk in full height. The temperature underground is about +8° all year round. In the center of the copper mine there is a lake with clean water, which, according to local residents, can stand for years and does not deteriorate.
Inside the cave, you can find several species of bats that are listed in the Red Book and sharp-faced frogs. Do not be afraid to get lost, there are special signs on the walls that will help you navigate and find your way back. Have a nice trip!
