In Russia, since 2025, the national project "Ecology" has been replaced by the national project "Environmental well-being". Tatarstan has previously agreed to include eight events totaling 2 billion 579.6 million rubles. Of these, 2 billion 358.2 million rubles will be allocated from the federal budget, 221.4 million rubles from the republican budget.
The federal project "Water of Russia" will replace the federal projects "Improving the Volga River" and "Preserving unique water bodies." In the direction of "Improving the ecological condition of the hydrographic network (watercourses, reservoirs)", the Republic of Tatarstan provides for the implementation of two measures:
— "Clearing of the Melekeska river site in Naberezhnye Chelny, Republic of Tatarstan", implementation period is 2025-2027. 320.6 million rubles will be spent for these purposes.
— "Measures to clear the Noksa riverbed with tributaries in Kazan", implementation period is 2028-2030. 703.3 million rubles will be allocated for the work. It is specified that a letter has been sent to the Minister of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Russian Federation, Alexander Kozlov, on the consideration of the possibility of postponing the implementation of the Noksa riverbed cleanup from 2028 to 2025.
In the direction of "Elimination (reclamation) of objects of accumulated environmental damage that pose a threat to the Volga River" in 2025, it is planned to complete work on the reclamation of silt fields of biological treatment facilities in Kazan.
In the direction of "Reducing the volume of contaminated wastewater entering water bodies" (construction, reconstruction of sewage treatment plants), the Ministry of Construction, Architecture and Housing and Communal Services of the Republic of Tatarstan, together with the Ministry of Construction of Russia, is working on the inclusion of facilities for the construction (reconstruction) of sewage treatment plants and storm sewers of Tatarstan.
A list of 17 sites has been sent in advance: Kazan, Buinsk, Zainsk, Zelenodolsk, Kukmor, Laishevo, Menzelinsk, Naberezhnye Chelny, Kama Estuary, Kama Polyany of Nizhnekamsk district, Uruss of Yutazinsky district, Aktanysh, Muslyumovo.
The federal project "General Cleaning" will replace the federal project "Clean Country". According to the Ministry of Natural Resources of the Russian Federation, the list of objects by Russian regions within the framework of the federal project "General Cleaning" until 2030 will be formed after the assessment and categorization of objects of accumulated environmental damage by Rosprirodnadzor and Rospotrebnadzor in the first quarter of 2025.
The remaining four measures included in the new national project will be implemented through the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan.
Since 2025, new national projects have been launched in Russia, which relate to almost all areas — from economics to ecology. This year, 11 of them will be implemented in Tatarstan: "Family", "Youth and children", "Long and active life", "Infrastructure for life", "Environmental well-being", "Personnel", "Efficient and competitive economy", "Technological food security", "Tourism and hospitality", "Data Economy and Digital Transformation of the State" and "Unmanned Aircraft Systems". 44.2 billion rubles will be allocated for events within the framework of them.
