According to the complaint of residents, inspectors took water samples from Lake Verkhny Kaban

The Ministry of Ecology received an appeal from the media about the discharge of contaminated wastewater from a pipe into Lake Verkhny Kaban in the Vakhitovsky district of Kazan. Inspectors of the Central Department of the Ministry of Ecology promptly carried out a field visit.
             During the examination, it was found that unauthorized discharge of wastewater is taking place from the pipe. The specialists of the Central Department of Environmental Supervision selected samples of natural and wastewater for laboratory testing. The Ministry of Ecology will send a request to the Executive Committee of the city of Kazan to clarify the balance holder of this pipe.
