In order to prevent pollution of water bodies during the flood and to exclude the ingress of diffuse runoff into rivers and lakes, inspectors of the Ministry of Ecology regularly conduct raids to survey territories falling into the zone of possible flooding.

Thus, inspectors of the Zavolzhsky department have already examined the water protection zones of the Karla River in the territory of Buinsk in the industrial zone. No facts of overflow of the river and flooding of the territories of industrial enterprises were found.

The Sviyaga River in the village of Kiyat of the Buinsky district was also examined. Due to a sharp increase in the water level in the Sviyaga River, the bridge of the Buinsk – Kiyat highway remained under water. A similar pattern is observed annually. There are no production facilities or outbuildings of residents who have fallen into the flood zone on the surveyed site.

Inspectors of the Central Department carried out a visit to the Vysokogorsky district of the republic, namely to the village of Tatarskaya Aisha, the village of Kurkachi, the village of Kurkachi railway station, the village of Chepchugi in order to survey the Kazanka River. The laboratory staff took samples of water in the river. The oxygen content and water temperature were checked on site. The average temperature in the river is now +3.5 degrees. The territory was in a satisfactory sanitary and ecological condition. The selected water samples are being tested in a laboratory. The raids are continuing.
