The Ministry of Ecology of Tatarstan has revealed the data of 17 air purity monitoring stations

2 April 2024, Tuesday

Today, Minister of Ecology Alexander Shadrikov announced at a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers the opening of these 17 automatic stations for monitoring atmospheric air pollution (AAPCS) Ministry of Ecology of Tatarstan.

"Today we are showing the data of our stations in real time ahead of schedule, in a test mode. In the future, we will also connect weather data online. Such openness and transparency of our data is a request of the population and it is the trust of residents that we value and cherish," Alexander Shadrikov said.

Starting today, every resident can see the measurement results of automatic monitoring stations in real time. Real-time measurements are available to all site visitors for priority pollutants: carbon monoxide, nitrogen dioxide, ammonia, hydrogen sulfide, sulfur dioxide, phenol, formaldehyde. These substances are the main air pollutants in cities and districts of the republic, coming from motor vehicles, thermal power facilities, enterprises of the gas and oil industry, chemical and petrochemical enterprises, landfills, waste treatment facilities. In the future, meteorological data will appear on the environmental map, which was developed at the Ministry as part of the digitalization of the ecology industry.

All relevant information is available in the Environmental Map of the Republic of Tatarstan system at the link: https://ecokarta.tatar.ru / in the AAPCS section.

The stations are located in Kazan, Nizhnekamsk and Nizhnekamsk district, Yelabuga, Naberezhnye Chelny, Aznakaevo, Mendeleevsk, Nizhny Maktama.

"Also, the GIS "Ecological Map of the Republic of Tatarstan" promptly contains all relevant information about the places of unauthorized waste disposal identified on the territory of the republic. This year, the "Green Standards" subsystem has been finalized — separate waste accumulation points are now displayed on the map," Alexander Shadrikov said

Let us recall that 17 automatic air pollution control stations of the Ministry of Ecology operate in automatic mode, air intake is performed every 20 seconds, averaged for 20 minutes, data is updated every 20-40 minutes (depending on the substance).

For reference: GIS "Ecological Map of the Republic of Tatarstan" was created in 2012 within the framework of the Unified State Exam "GLONASS+112". As part of the improvements and maintenance of the system for 2012-2022, 26 subsystems were created. At the moment, the system is integrated with EGIS GLONASS+112, the Geoportal of the Republic of Tatarstan, GIS RT "People's Control", GIS RT "People's Inspector", IS "School eco-patrol", a unified interdepartmental electronic document management system.
