For the period of the "Games of the Future" competition from February 19 to March 3, state inspectors of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan strengthened control over the quality of atmospheric air, surface waters, and soil. The territories adjacent to the venues where the competitions are held, as well as along the route of the delegations, are being patrolled. Inspectors of the Central Territorial Administration are strengthening control over compliance with environmental legislation. The area of special attention is the quality of atmospheric air, the maintenance of container sites, the storage and placement of snow masses, and the control of discharges into water bodies. Atmospheric air monitoring is carried out both during the day and at night using mobile environmental laboratories.
The entire range of environmental monitoring activities is ongoing during the championship. Air quality control in Kazan is carried out automatically by 5 stations.
Environmentalists will also take control of the sanitary and ecological condition of the territory adjacent to the infrastructure facilities and the route of groups of tourists and athletes.
