Environmentalists held a career guidance meeting with Naberezhnye Chelny students and school graduates
Ecologists of the Kama Territorial Administration of the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan within the framework of the program "Environmental education and upbringing" conducted excursions for schoolchildren and students of Naberezhnye Chelny for two weeks. The guests of our environmental laboratory were students of the 11th grade of schools No. 19, No. 15 and students of the Naberezhnye Chelny Institute of the KFU branch.
The children were told about the specifics of the ecologist's profession and priorities in their work. The guests were introduced to the main tasks facing the territorial administration – supervision, environmental monitoring, work with citizens' appeals and environmental education activities. The students learned about the importance of protecting the ozone layer, separate collection of solid household waste and their recycling. The ecologists showed the KFU students the laboratory, the devices they use for sampling water and soil. They told the guys what environmental monitoring is and about the work of a mobile environmental laboratory.
Pupils and students noted that the ecologist profession is extremely important and interesting and, perhaps, they will also decide to try themselves in this professional field.
