Environmentalists left on a complaint about the pollution of the Chelna River in Naberezhnye Chelny
According to the information received about the pollution of the Chelna River in the village of Orlovka, inspectors of the Kama Territorial Department of the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan carried out a field visit. During the survey of the territory, a pipe was discovered from which wastewater was discharged into the river. Environmentalists took samples of wastewater at the discharge site and natural water in the river itself 500 meters above and below the discharge site, as well as at the mixing site. According to the results of analyses of samples taken at the mixing site, the excess of ammonium ions by 2.6 times, nitrite ions by 1.6 times and iron by 2.4 times were revealed.
As it turned out, local wastewater treatment plants are on the balance sheet of the Executive Committee of Naberezhnye Chelny. A warning was sent to the Executive Committee about the inadmissibility of violating the mandatory requirements of environmental legislation.
