Inspectors of the Zakamsky TA took part in comprehensive exercises to eliminate oil spills in the Nizhnekamsk region
In Nizhnekamsk district, in the village of Nizhnyaya Uratma, under the leadership of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan, comprehensive exercises were held to confirm the readiness of JSC "Geology" for actions to localize oil and petroleum products spills. The interdepartmental commission included inspectors of the Zakamsky Territorial Department of the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan, representatives of Rosprirodnadzor, Rostechnadzor, the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan and the Executive Committee of the Nizhnekamsk district.
According to legend, a sudden destruction of the buffer tank occurred on the territory of the OPO "Pumping station site (DNS-2/2c Uratma)". The oil leaked out and spread on the site of technological tanks with a concrete coating and an airtight curb fence. There was a risk of fire.
The professional emergency rescue unit of LLC RegionSpas carried out measures to eliminate the spill of petroleum products using oil collection equipment. Specialists installed intermediate tanks, connected pumping equipment and collected petroleum products. Residual oil pollution was removed using sorbents. The exercises were successful, the commission rated them as "satisfactory".
