4742 kilograms of garbage were collected by the participants of the "Clean Games" in the framework of the ecological tournament "School Cup of Cleanliness" in Nizhnekamsk
The Clean Games clean-up day was held in Nizhnekamsk as part of the environmental tournament "School Cup of Cleanliness". More than 700 schoolchildren from ten districts of Tatarstan took part in the games – these are students of Agryzsky, Aktanyshsky, Elabuga, Zainsky, Menzelinsky, Muslyumovsky, Mendeleevsky, Naberezhnye Chelny, Nizhnekamsk and Tukayevsky districts. Vadim Mitrofanov, Acting Head of the Zakamsky Territorial Department of the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan, also took part in the event. He wished the guys good luck and handed over the necessary equipment for the clean–up from the Ministry of Ecology - gloves, bags, garbage bags. 175 teams collected 4742 kilograms of garbage within an hour – 110 bags with plastic, 164 with glass and 271 with mixed garbage.
According to the results of the game, the Atom team of the Mendeleevsky district became the winner.
Environmental competitions in the format of "Clean Games" became the first stage of the "School Cup of Cleanliness" tournament. Teams will need to go through two more stages:
- online marathon;
- environmental quiz.
After the environmental quiz, the results will be summed up and the best teams of the tournament will be awarded.
