The city laboratory "Citizen-scientist" has started in Kazan. The ecological and educational meeting was held on the Kazanka embankment near the State Inspection of Small Vessels site. The participants of the meeting were greeted by Deputy Minister of Ecology Olga Manidicheva.
"Thank you to everyone and everyone who is with us today. We are gathering here in order to build a constructive dialogue so that we can find creative solutions together for the benefit of our city. Last year's series of lectures was very popular among our residents. Thanks to the organizers of this wonderful project "Citizen-scientist", - she thanked everybody.
Dozens of Kazan residents have already attended the first meeting, they were told about the project on the Kazanka Development Strategy.
The laboratory will be open until August 6. Participants of the second season of the project will have 12 classes where they will get acquainted with the Kazanka ecosystem, exchange knowledge with experts and residents, and will also be able to develop their own case.
The project is being implemented by the Kazan City Hall, the Institute of Urban Development of the Republic, the Directorate of Parks and Squares of the city with the support of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Tatarstan, the regional branch of the Russian Geographical Society, KFU and the State Committee for Bioresources of the Republic of Tatarstan.
