Specialists of the Environmental Education Department of the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan held a master class on separate garbage collection in the children's health camp "Baitik". The event was attended by 120 children of the shift "According to the laws of nature". The interactive game was invented by the regional youth public organization "It will be clean" of the Republic of Tatarstan. The participants of the master class were asked to sort waste cards into various containers - recyclable and non–recyclable waste, food, hazardous and bulky waste. Also, one of the tasks was to choose recyclables and pick up the final product for it. For example, glass tiles can be made from a glass bottle, and non–ferrous metals can be recycled from batteries.
"If each of us starts with small steps, then together we can achieve significant results. It is not difficult to throw a plastic bottle into a mesh container, and as a result we get a huge effect in terms of saving natural resources for the production of new packaging," said Olga Artemyeva, head of the Department of Environmental Education and interaction with public organizations of the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan.
At the end of the master class, the students noted that the tasks were interesting and informative, and thanked the organizers. Each participant received a T-shirt and a notebook from the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan as a souvenir.
