373 vehicles were inspected by employees of the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan as part of operation "Clean Air"

Operation "Clean Air" has been launched in Tatarstan since June 1. Until September 30, specialists of the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan, together with employees of the Traffic Police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tatarstan, will identify vehicles that have excess toxicity standards in their exhaust gases. Inspectors of the Central Territorial Administration and traffic police officers have already checked 373 vehicles. 3 violations were detected in cars with gasoline engines and 1 violation in a light car with a diesel engine. The inspection as part of operation "Clean Air" took place on the federal highway M7 – traffic police post "Malinovka".

In total, from June 1 to September 30, environmentalists plan to inspect at least 6 thousand cars for the level of dangerous pollutants.

Let us recall that the operation "Clean Air" has been taking place since 1983. Vehicle inspection takes place on the main highways, checkpoints and enterprises. The purpose of the event is to monitor compliance with the standards for the content of pollutants in the exhaust gases of motor vehicles and to prevent the negative impact of vehicles on the atmospheric air. Last year, environmentalists checked more than 5 thousand cars, revealed 183 violations.
